This is a completely grain free porridge made from only nuts and seeds ! Paleo & Whole 30 approved. This porridge is quick and easy. Whip it up in your blender in a jiffy!
You all may know by now that I am a big porridge lover. Porridge is the perfect winter breakfast but as far as I am concerned porridge is great all year round. As winter comes to a close, I feel the need to share one more porridge recipe with you. Not just any porridge.
This grain free porridge is Paleo and Vegan to boot!
Grain Free Porridge Whole 30
This nut and seed porridge is perfect if you’re doing the Whole30 or another type of elimination diet. Funnily, it came about one morning as I had not put buckwheat groats to soak overnight to make buckwheat porridge You see I have a newborn, one gazillion things to do/remember and a bit of ‘mommy’ brain 😉
Luckily making this porridge requires little effort. Just dump all the ingredients in your blender and whiz until smooth. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
Why go grain free?
Around the world many people have chosen to go grain free for so many different health reasons, and they’ve had amazing results with going back to foods that are primal. So many of my clients tell me they just feel tired or cannot lose weight, and once they removed grains and dairy, life changed. While I don’t believe in a one size fits all diet for everyone it might be worth going grain-free if you find yourself struggling with issues like poor digestion, stubborn fat, joint issues, chronic fatigue, endometriosis or autoimmune diseases.
What to eat on a grain free diet?
Going grain-free means that you not only eliminate gluten, but ALL grains, such as rice, corn, oats and barley. Pseudo grains like quinoa, amaranth and buckwheat are allowed in small quantities while smart carbs such as sweet potatoes, zucchini and pumpkins are encouraged in moderation.
This grain free porridge is 100% grain free and low carb!
Don’t forget to layer on some berries for a natural touch of sweet.
I don’t know about you but for me the toppings MAKE the porridge! I love adding sliced bananas, berries and mixed seeds.

Thanks Anna. Hope you like it!
This sounds yummy! My favorite toppings are organic blueberries and Ceylon cinnamon powder. Sometimes even a drizzle of maple syrup. I’ve been eating yogurt & kefir with chia seeds in it (to thicken it up), so I should totally try your warm version with some homemade nut milk! 🙂
Oh yes Elaina cinnamon is an absolute must! Enjoy ?
