Lavender Earl Grey Tea Latte
Every day after lunch I have a siesta or ‘quiet time’ as my daughter calls it. Nothing lavish, just a few moments to myself when I mentally hit the pause button on life. Usually I’ll sit down to read and just relax with my thoughts and a yummy scone or two 😉 I have recently discovered that my need for this time and space to shut the world out and recharge is a common characteristic of highly sensitive people.
Are you a highly sensitive person too?
A short siesta with this Lavender Earl Grey Tea Latte could be all it takes to help you feel human again. Especially on those particularly overwhelming days. The lavender will soothe your mind while the earl grey tea gives just enough pick me up to get through the afternoon slump.
The Many Names of Lavender Earl Grey Tea Latte
Earl Grey Tea Latte goes by many names:
London Fog Latte
Vanilla Tea Misto
and in Scotland it is known as a Vancouver Fog.
Rumour has it that the Earl Grey Tea Latte was invented in Vancouver. According to Sir Google the original Earl Grey Tea Latte Starbucks recipe is flavoured with vanilla syrup. I have replaced it with homemade blueberry lavender syrup and a dash of homemade vanilla extract.
This tea is a real treat!
How to make a Lavender Earl Grey Tea Latte
Pimp out your loose leaf Earl Grey tea leaves with Organic Culinary Lavender .
If you don’t have loose leaf Earl Grey use a teabag and add a teaspoon of culinary lavender buds to a tea infuser.
Brew a strong cup of tea.
Froth your milk. I use my Nespresso Aeroccino Plus Milk Frother.
TIP : If you add the vanilla extract directly to the frother the milk tastes like vanilla whipped cream!
Add frothy milk and lavender syrup to the cup of freshly brewed tea and voila! A delicious fragrant cup of Lavender Earl Grey Tea Latte awaits!
I don’t need an excuse to drink tea. It tastes great and the antioxidants in tea help to combat many diseases.

This is perfect!! I was obsessed with Starbucks’ lavender Earl Grey latte when I lived in Japan. It is on their permanent menu and you can buy the actually tin of tea bags they use! I moved to mid-west america and none of the Starbucks I’ve been to here or in my hometown in Ontario Canada had head of it 🙁
I finally got to a loose leaf tea shop and bought a tin of each with plans to just make my own! I wasn’t sure the ratio….so this has helped huuuge!! Thanks!!
